Default ROI on Compliance Work - BPM Overtones?

So we're busting it on our 404, and most US orgs are staring down the barrel at 12/31. I realize that this first year is getting over the first certification hurdle, but how are organizations looking at taking this mandated compliance work and turning it into an engine for process and performance improvement? There's been a lot of talk about business performance management (BPM), but so far - only talk. Anybody walking some walk?

Thumbs up Roi?

This is legal mumbo jumbo, and wasn't intended to be good for you. Like karo syrup.

Expect to bleed money for a while, until a new president takes back this legistlation and finally puts in a flat tax!
