Entin said that many attorneys general and private organizations, such as BoardSource, a non-profit organization which advises other non-profits about governance issues, have issued helpful guidelines that discuss best practices for non-profit organizations, some of which are specific to hospitals. I recommend to my clients that they know and compare what they are doing with what the attorney general in their state is saying, he said.
